Oxy Invitational

PB's set, and race won at the 2013 SF Distance Carnival!

      On a warm day, towards the end of Cal Poly's spring break, the Cal Poly Distance Club traveled to San Francisco to run in the annual San Francisco Distance Carnival. Multiple runners set personal bests, and proved once again to be a good meet for the Distance Club.

Back to Back Men's and Women's NIRCA Southwest Regionals Champions

      On Saturday October 20th, the Cal Poly men and women's team entered the 2012 Southwest Regionals race with a huge target on their backs. Last year in the inaugural Regionals race, both took home the team title. In both races the team race was contested until the very end. Fortunately for the Distance Club, while the other teams runners faded, we pulled ahead, clinching both men's and women's team titles. While Mollee Huisinga finished an impressive 2nd place, Peter Van Beurden led the men's team sweep of first through third place.

Cal Poly Distance Club wins the Santa Clara Bronco Open 8k!

demo       The Distance Club won it's first invitational at the Santa Clara Bronco invite, putting in 9 runners before any other team had their 5th runner in! Beating college teams from across the state, the Distance Club proves once again to be one of the best college running clubs on the west coast.

The Distance Club is back for the 2012-2013 school year!

      The Cal Poly Distance Club is back for the 2012 XC and 2013 Track seasons! The Club will be in it's 3rd year, and looking to improve upon last years 10th place finish at the Intercollegiate Club Nationals in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The Distance Club is open to any and all Cal Poly student. This year we will offer three membership types, check them out on the Membership page.
      The Distance Club welcomes you to check out our booth at the Week of Welcome Club Showcase, on Monday September 17th, in the parking lot across the street from the grass athletic fields, near Poly Canyon Village.

      Our First official day of practice is Wednesday, September 19th at 4:10pm! We meet on the track, near the blue emergency light. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at club@cpdistanceclub.com
